Quantum Advisors, India’s first institutional equity research house, founded by Ajit Dayal in January 1990 - 18 months before the first significant economic reforms in July, 1991. Between Subbu, who joined in 1996, and Ajit, they form the longest serving India equity teams. Quantum is managing the India Value Equity Strategy since August 2000.

We use Quantitative (30%) and Qualitative (70%) factors to rank companies on their overall ‘ESG. This is all done in-house using a proprietary methodology. Unlike other ESG data providers, ours is not a ‘Desk’ Research.

The construction of the portfolio is based on a company’s which have a positive ESG score with broad sector guardrails. The portfolio is Valuation agnostic.

The portfolio will typically consist of 45 to 60 publicly listed stocks each of which must trade at least USD 1 mn per day over the past 1 year. This portfolio is thus scalable. It is a high conviction allocation on the best ‘India ESG’ companies as per our proprietary research.

The strategy takes a holistic view of ESG disclosures and practices of invested companies by adopting a materiality driven, best-in-class sustainability assessment using a proprietary ESG framework.
